Bruce Davidson · 3 Day Eventing: "We’ve been using the laser a lot and we have particularly benefited from it at competitions. It is used here everyday at Chesterland for injuries as well as for wound therapy. The laser is an everyday tool in our production here. The Blanket is a great way to relax a horse’s back, I can feel a difference in the circulation and stimulation it creates. Before I began using the blanket I wouldn’t believe it but I am now at the point where I can tell if a horse has been blanketed or not before I go out and ride." Bruce Davidson is a two time Three Day Event World Champion, and five time Olympic veteran. Davidson has been the U.S. Combined Training Association’s Rider of the Year a record fourteen times, he has won two Gold Medals, at the 1976 and 1984 Olympics. In 1995 Davidson was ranked number one in the world in the World Three Day Event Rider Rankings, a year in which he won an individual Gold Medal at the Pan Am Games and was the only American rider ever to win at the Badminton CCI. Leslie Burr-Howard · Show Jumping: "I use the Respond Laser on injured horses and before workouts and rounds to relieve soreness, and to relax their muscles. They love it! They become more willing in their work, which in turn enhances their performance. It’s a great addition to our daily regimen" Leslie Burr-Howard: Was a member of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) squads that won the team Gold Medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and the team Silver Medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. In 1983, riding Albany, Burr -Howard was named the American Grandprix Association Rider of the Year. In 1986 she won the FI World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, and was voted the American Horse Shows Association’s Equestrian of the Year. In 1994 Howard rode for the United States at the World Equestrian Games in Holland and she rode to a first place tie in the USET Show Jumping Championship at the Festival of Champions in Gladstone, NJ. In 1997 Burr-Howard received the Whitney Stone Cup for her long and distinguished career. Also in 1997, Leslie captured the world’s richest grand prix event-the $500,000 Du Maurier Ltd. International Grand Prix. Anne Kursinski · Show Jumping: "We use the Respond Laser 2400XL every day to keep our horses at their peak. We treat trigger points and acupuncture points before events. And the Bio-Pulse Magnetic Therapy blanket system is a wonderful tool for keeping muscles supple; it helps us warm up the horses before we show them. It's a great therapy after a long trailer ride." Anne Kursinski has been a member or alternate of four consecutive United States Olympic teams, including the 1988 and 1996 squads that both won the Silver Medal. In 1991 Kursinski was honored as the Leading Lady Rider at the World Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 1995 Anne won the American Gold Cup for a record fourth time and was named the AHSA/Hertz Equestrian of the Year and in 1997 she was the highest placed U.S. rider at the World Cup finals. Carol Lavell · Dressage: "The Respond Laser and the Bio-Pulse Blanket are the most versatile and effective therapy systems you can buy. We couldn’t get the job done without them!" From tendon lesions, to cuts and lacerations, to sore joints and muscles, Carol has seen them all, and treated them all with therapy equipment by Respond Systems. Her legendary horse Gifted had suffered severe lacerations and scrapes just before the World Championships, and was treated with the Respond Laser and Bio-Pulse magnetic blanket Six days later, he was judged sound and ready to compete! Carol Lavell is one of the World’s best known dressage riders, and one of the world’s most respected riders. She won a team Bronze Medal on her horse Gifted at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Lavell was named 1990 and 1992 United States Olympic Committee Female Equestrian Athlete of the Year. Also in 1992, Lavell won the prestigious Whitney Stone Cup and was named The American Horse Shows Association/Hertz Equestrian of the Year. Kay Blandford-Barrel Racing: Kay relies on the Respond 2400XL laser and the Bio-Pulse magnetic therapy blanket systems to keep her horses fit. She features Respond’s therapy systems in her new video, The Power of Dreams. She states: "I attribute much of The Key Grip’s success to the Respond Model 2400XL laser and the Bio-Pulse 3000 magnetic therapy blanket system. I’ve been able to keep him sound and keep the soreness out of his body with short treatments before each run. And when he was injured, his down-time was minimal. Thank you to The Key Grip and Respond Systems." Kay’s Video, the Power of Dreams, is available through her website, http://www.kayblandford.com. Kay Blandford is an eight time National Finals Rodeo Qualifier, 96 Dodge Circuit Champion, 96 Record High Money winner at the NFR, 96 Reserve World Champion, three time Texas circuit Barrel Racing Champion, and the only triple winner of the Old Fort Days Barrel Futurity. MARY W. BROMILEY F.C.S.P., S.R.P., R.P.T. (U.S.A.): Mary Bromiley is a licensed Physical Therapist and an expert in the equine therapeutic field with over 25 years of experience. She now treats horses and dogs as well as humans at Downs House, her rehabilitation center at Baydon, Berkshire in England. She states: "I can truly say that the results since laser came in to the House are spectacular. We use it primarily for wound healing and pressure on nerves, because if the nerve doesn’t conduct then the muscle doesn’t function. I’m very pleased with Respond because they have put a tremendous amount of their resources back in to research." She says of the Bio-Pulse magnetic blanket: "We’re very pleased with Respond because they offer a neck wrap, the neck is a huge balancing area for the horse. Dressage horses stress their hocks and now we can help them with the leg wrap. Overall, magnetic therapy enhances the behavior of tissue, and once that starts to happen, healing is improved." Doug Hannum: Doug Hannum, the founder of Hannum stables in Nottingham, PA, was the United States Equestrian Team’s 3 Day Event Therapist at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. "In Atlanta at the summer games we walked the course and the riders walked the course and we found it was very hilly with quick turns and stop fences that can produce injuries. The laser, Respond Model 2400 was and is a wonderful piece of equipment for taking the sting out of those injuries, such as sore joints in the stifle, injured shoulders and ankles as well. We also worry about the horse’s feet stinging, so we laser the feet which enhances circulation in the foot, making the horse quite comfy rather quickly. We have use the Respond Systems, Inc. Bio-Pulse magnetic therapy systems, and the Respond lasers for over ten years at our facility. They make the best equipment, they stand behind it, and they are great people to work with. I can’t say enough about them." Judith Shoemaker, D.V.M, I.V.A.S., A.V.C.A.: "The Respond Laser model 2400 is useful in several veterinary applications and as an acupuncture tool, it is very useful in the healing of tendon and ligament injuries, and in sports medicine for muscle therapy. For the backyard horse the laser is useful for soreness, acupuncture, constitutional medical problems. The laser is very user friendly for the horse owner and therapist. The Respond Laser has been successful because the equipment is easy to use and the booklet is understandable." "Magnetic therapy has proven effective in non-union fractures and the healing of fractures in general. It is also effective in the management of chronic muscle disease and chronic joint disease while physiologically it has the effect of enhancing blood flow." Barbie Breen Gurley · Dressage: "From 1991 through 1994 Celebrate’s successful Grand Prix competition career was interrupted by a number of odd and unrelated injuries. Last June he cast himself and injured his hind sesmoid bones and ligaments. My two excellent veterinarians examined him and both explained he would need a long lay off and his complete recovery had a guarded prognosis. Dr. Boles recommended the Respond Laser and gave him a 10% chance of a total recovery. I immediately rented the Respond Laser and began treatments twice daily as advised. Within a couple months Celebrate was sound in all three gaits and evidence showed on ultrasound a continued healing, realignment of the fibers and bone fill in. He is so much happier too as he loves his work! Needless to say, I am thrilled as I love this horse so much, we are such a team together! I am certain the healing has been quickened and facilitated by the Respond Laser as there was little change the first six months following his injury prior to using the unit. Thank You Respond."-B.Breen-Gurley, CA Barbi Breen-Gurley is an active dressage instructor, trainer and competitor (Since 1970) and has produced several Grand Prix horses. She is a USDF gold medalist, AHSA R Dressage Judge, and I have been long listed for the US Equestrian Team twice. Her Hanoverian gelding, Celebrate and she were AHSA National First Level Champions in 1985. In 1990 Breen-Gurley and Celebrate were reserve AHSA Prix St. George and Intermediare 1 Champions, she was also long-listed for the USET that year. J.Crawford · KY: "I’m very pleased with the results of the Respond Laser. It has saved me countless dollars in veterinary bills. I’m using the system almost daily at our barn. I have recommended your system not only to other horsemen, but to veterinarians. We have had great success with open wounds, founder, punctures and foot problems. Our Farrier said he has never seen anything grow a hoof as fast or as strong. I can cite many examples of this great machine. Thank you for providing this great machine to promote healing without drugs! Our horses are much happier." L.Creamer · CO: "Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful machine! My horse thanks you too!" L.Weiss · CA: "I just wanted you to know how pleased I am with your Respond Laser. My horse had a very bad bowed tendon and after 7 weeks of laser therapy you can’t see it or feel it. On the ultrasound it shows almost completely healed. Dr. Boles was very pleased. Seven weeks of Laser with every day work sure beats 7 months lay up. I’ll keep it another month, at least, for my own peace of mind." M.Simpson · CT: "Thank you for instructing me on the use of the Respond Laser. The horses’ leg has healed beautifully. Certainly, if any more problems occur I’ll give you a call and/or will recommend this system to others." P.Lamson · CA: "I purchased one of your used Bio-Pulse 3000 blankets in March of this year and thought you might like to hear how my horse is doing. I began using it immediately and within three weeks time felt I got more improvement than I’d gotten in the past year! Since the initial improvement I believe we are now steadily getting increased muscle tone/strength and are starting to really see an improved top line. Happily, I can also say that his walk and trot have become far more supple and easier for the rider. Needless to say I’m a big fan of the Bio-Pulse 3000 blanket and offer it to my friends to use at the small barn where I board. My friend who is an instructor has been using it quite a lot on her 18-year old Dutch Warmblood Grand Prix dressage horse-for his back and his hocks mainly. She really feels it has helped his back and possibly his hocks. Another gal just phoned me and is going to try it on her 13-year old Quarter Horse (that has a sore back and DJD in a number of joints) to see if it can help where most other treatments have failed to bring any results. Thanks again for helping my horse Webster so much. I’ll keep you posted on his progress!" P.Summers · GA: "I thought you would like to know that my horses’ tendon problem was completely healed through laser therapy. He was given a clean bill of health at U.C. Davis a few weeks ago. Prior to laser treatment, two vets had told me the problem would be chronic. I’m pleased to report that they were wrong." |

Condition: Orthopedic and constitutional disease: "The Bio-Pulse bed and jacket can be used very effectively on older animals with orthopedic and constitutional diseases. My 16 year old Jack Russel terrier, in spite of his advanced stage of congestive heart failure, was able to sleep after using the bed, for the first time in many weeks. I also found that cats with congenital kidney disease and arthritis would actually seek out the bed when it was on, providing them comfort, as well."-J.Shoemaker, DVM, PA. Condition: Old or Chronic injury: "I just wanted you to know how satisfied I am with the PMFT jacket. I use it about five times a week. Eddie, a Doberman has a bad knee from an injury of about a year ago. With the use of the jacket, she is weight bearing and using it to climb up on the dog chair. To listen to her walk across the floor youd never suspect an old injury. I chose the jacket for the portability, to be used at an Agility Trial. Without the use of the jacket, Snap, our Whippet has one class in him. When I use the jacket after each class, Snap easily clears his 30" jump height. He wont jump if it hurts, with the use of the jacket it doesnt hurt anymore. I would highly recommend this PMFT jacket to anyone with a competition dog who takes a lot of pounding especially if there is a known problem, as well as an older dog with age related stiffness."-T.Hasset, MA. Condition: Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis: 7 year old golden retriever suffering from bilateral hip dysplasia and arthritis in the shoulder: "The improvement continues. Last night she jumped from the floor to the bed by herself, and she hasnt been able to do that for about 4 years. Id say its a miraculous melioration! Thanks to all of you for a miracle!"-C.Harrington, IL 7 year old Chow with arthritis: "I have been able to relieve a great deal of his discomfort without the use of medication. I am pleased we can achieve the same results with the Bio-Pulse bed and not have to worry about the side effects of medication."-K.Simms, CT 7 and 9 year old dogs, both with arthritis and hip dysplasia: "I have observed much less stiffness in the female and a noticeable improvement in freedom of movement in the male since I began treatments with the Bio-Pulse 9000."-S.Crank, OH CONDITION: Arthritis: I started using the Bio-Pulse on my 15 year old. 12 pound Schipperke in September. Due to arthritic changes. The dog was stiff and sore in the front and often lame, especially on her right front leg. After three weeks of using the Bio-Pulse, this dog was moving with more comfort and lame for only a few steps only if she stumbled. Now she runs and races setting a pace I can hardly match. Several people that have encountered us have remarked that she moves so lightly that she hardly seems to touch the ground, indicating to me that she is moving with much more comfort and enjoyment. Shirley C. Quillen. DVM. Condition: Stiffness and soreness related aging: 9 year old collie (Hope) with stiff hind legs, particularly the stifle, sometimes preventing her from standing: "After about 2 weeks of using the Bio-Pulse bed the stiffness was almost gone. We let Hope sleep on the bed for 4 months, during which time she showed no further problems. Three weeks after we discontinued use of the Bio-Pulse we observed Hopes hind leg stiffness returning."-P.Monke, OH |
